The Adventure ReBirth is firmly rooted in old-school Castlevania, perhaps with a bit of the bite and edge taken off. It reminds me equally of Castlevania Chronicles and Super Castlevania IV, with a little more modern sensibility thrown in when it comes to controls and massive difficulty. It looks and feels like its progenitor but does away with stiff controls, frustrating and limiting game. The Castlevania Adventure Rebirth is a fantastic Castlevania experience on Nintendo's Wii console and one that probably got overlooked by a lot of fans of the series given the (unfair) negative reputation the Wii and its WiiWare service had, and that's their loss.

By the way, the plot also repeats the original story. You are all the same Simon Belmont, that by coincidence of ridiculous circumstances you ended up in the castle of Dracula. Now you will encounter the most secret fears of your main character, you will wander through the numerous halls and corridors of the castle, kill evil spirits in basements and catacombs, and in the end even fight with Count Dracula himself.
