So this is the new kid on the block! So far, each time we had to face a different Archdemon in the end: the players experimented with the first one and found the best strategy against him (perma slow). This made the second Archdemon to appear and be killed within 12 hours if I recall correctly, with many players not even managing to play against him! And this time the third Archdemon comes.. obviously perma slow cannot work with the Archdemon's autoproc!
So what teams one can use each time? Well here's what I used, after experimenting and searching a bit. Sorry, no videos so far, my cell phone is broke down (3rd week now). I have included some relevant links I have collected.
1. General Advice
- Before you fight the Archdemon first read carefully its description!
- Perma slow strategies generally work
- Scatter or Stun lock could possibly work, if an Archdemon appears without immunity to these abilities.
- Note that Medusa's and Arctica's skills (petrify, freeze) do work! (in case you have them)
- Timing of the drop is EXTREMELY important in all cases
- First choose your team, wear the essential crests and artifacts and then use as much as possible artifacts and crests that increase damage.
2. Archdemon (reflect)
First fight made it clear that direct battle with him would not succeed (gf and pixie skill also not working). Instructions said no scatter or stun lock strategy would work. That left only .. perma slow!
An example of such a team could be the following:
What one should be careful with:
- The really tricky part is the drop.
- The highest chances of perma slowing is by dropping first a revit 5 santa or revit 5 warlock (whose skills would slow immediately the boss and are long range) - or of course revit 5 crest set - but otherwise things are not that easy.
- The alternative which I used is a harpy queen, due to her autoproc. Else you have to risk and hope that when you drop your team the chances of slowing the boss will come in your favour!
- As with all perma slow strategies, you begin by dropping the first (long range) hero first and just at the right moment (!) you drop the rest on the team on top of the Archdemon.
- Use as more slow down crests as possible, the higher level the better. Use blitz on pd (unless he is 10/10 and zerk 8/8). Revit crests to all who have a slow down skill (warlock, santa, etc).
(if I have a screenshot I will add it later - can't even remember the score I did)
3. Archdemon (summon)
By this point of time all top players knew how to deal damage. So in order to climb the ranks you needed more dps. This in turn means more risk to have failed attempts! I managed to do 4 attempts, one of them successful perma slowing the Archdemon! I was actually successful in the first one, then upgraded my team by making siren evo (from normal) and increasing druid, siren and bt skills from 6/8 (druid, siren) and 7/8 (bt) to 8/8... I even changed artifacts etc, as in the first try I didn't expect I would be that successful! But unfortunately I never managed to succeed the perma slow again! Higher lvl slow down crest would definitely be useful here!
In the end I used the following team:
And ended up doing this amount of damage (ranked quite well at the time I did the damage - position 511):

4. Archdemon (autoproc)
So here is where things are different. The auto proc ability, with an axe falling on one of your heroes doing huge damage every 5 sec plus the stun, gives very little maneuvre for the perma slow. A new strategy was needed. You needed a hero which can withstand the huge damage. Possible solutions:
- Atlanticore
- Sk
- DD
The big problem though is the syncing of the proc of your heroes with the one of the Archdemon. Here Atlanticore at skill level 1 seemed as the best solution, as long as you manage to sync them perfectly with the archdemon proc. Then a Death Knight is needed to protect from the stun and thus retain the syncing. Note also that the axe falls on the hero with the minimum hp (like Dracax ability). I created a low level atlanticore for this purpose. I've seen videos also with sk, but syncing is more difficult and an arctica helps to keep the syncronization.
I have played so far six times. I have managed to sync almost perfectly only once, twice my team survived most of the part of the 3 minutes, dying in the last 30-45 seconds, twice they lasted around 1:30 minutes and once the syncing never happened. The first teams I tried did 3 times more or less the same score, with the bt team (below) doing more damage considering that they survived less. In the last try (so far) I have managed to do a perfect syncing. With my current heroes and skills, etc I doubt I can go significantly higher in damage.
Second team I used (replacing druid in the first team with bt) and score:
Third team I used:
This time I decided to combine druid and beast tamer. Death Knight needed to be there in order to avoid losing sync of Archdemon and Atlanticore. This went quite well actually, especially on my second try where I did manage to achieve almost perfect syncing (if I recall correctly it was the only time that half of my team lasted till the end).
---> What an interesting coincidence. With the new damage a fell on exactly the same position as the previous time (#214).
